LV2 Volleyball Championship
Welcome to the inaugural LV2 Volleyball Championship –
2013. We plan to organize this Championship every year and our primary
objective is to encourage and promote sports, fitness and health.
The details of the LV2 Volleyball Championship for the
current year are as follows:

Guidelines:
1.
The matches will be played as per the FIVB Official
Volleyball Rules 2013-2016
(http://www.fivb.org/EN/Refereeing-Rules/RulesOfTheGame_VB.asp)
2.
The following guidelines will be followed over and
above the FIVB guidelines.
3.
All the matches (Group matches and Knock-out matches) will
be played for the best of 3 sets. A set (except the deciding 3rd set) is won by
the team which first scores 25 points with a minimum lead of two points. In the
case of a 24-24 tie, play is continued until a two-point lead is achieved (26-24;
27-25; …).
4.
The match is won by the team that wins two sets. In
the case of a 1-1 tie, the deciding 3rd set is played to 15 points with a
minimum lead of 2 points.
5.
The
decision of the referee is final during the match
6.
The winner in Group match gets 2 points and the loser
gets 0 points. The team with the least score in a Group will be eliminated. In
case two teams are tied with same number of points, then the winner is decided
based on the net set difference score (total sets won – total sets lost). In
case we still have a tie, then the winner will be decided based on the total
point difference of all sets (total points won – total points lost). If we
still have a tie, then the winner is decided based on the toss.
Important Note:
In case of any query/clarification/issue/dispute, the
decision of the LV2 organizing committee is final
